Are you looking for an activity that gives students the opportunity to practice with high frequency words? This activity is a lot of fun. I recommend using it as morning work. It will give students something to do when they walk into the classroom. There is a predictability about doing the same thing every day, but using different skills. Students will understand your expectations and will be able to do this activity independently.
This activity covers 25 words from Literacy First List A.
The words covered in this activity are:
many, then, them, these, so, two, more, write, go, see, number, no, way,
could, people, find, long, down, day, did, get, come, made, may, part
Each worksheet has the student read the word, color the word, find the word, spin the word in order to write it, complete the sentence by filling in the blank, trace the word, write the word on the line, and write the letters to the word in each box.
The Common Core State Standards that are covered in this literacy packet are:
RF.K.1, RF.K.1.a, RF.K.1.b, RF.K.3, RF.K.3.a, RF.K.3.b, RF.K.3.c, RF.K.3.d
