Phonics Worksheets Bundle (Long Vowels, R-Controlled, Triple Consonant Blends)

This activity is great for morning work, center work, or homework.  Students could do this independently, small group, or whole group.

Phonics Worksheets
-Crossword puzzle
-Students circle pictures that have the phonics in them.
-Write the word (Students will look at a picture, sound it out, and write the word.)
-Rainbow Color (Rainbow color is when you write over the letters over and over to make it look like a rainbow.)

 

Word Practice Worksheet #1
-Spin and Write the word (Students will spin a paperclip and whatever picture the paperclip lands on that is the word that students will write down.  They are able to spin 8 different times.)
-Students will look at a picture, and circle the correct letters that go at the beginning or the end of the word.
-Students will color words with phonics based on the color code.  

Word Practice Worksheet #2
-Word Search (Students will find words in the word search.)
-Fill in the blanks (Students will read the sentence and then fill in the blanks with a word.)
-Fill in the word (Students will look at the picture and figure out what the word is.  They will fill in the blanks with the phonics.)

Word Practice Worksheet #3
-Figure out the spelling of a word (Students will look at the picture and figure out how to spell it correctly.)
-Unscramble the word (Students will cut out the pictures below.  Then unscramble the word by placing the picture underneath the scrambled word.  Then write the word correctly in the blank.)

Picture Sort Worksheet
-Cut out pictures and place them in the correct category.

Word and Picture Sort
-There are pictures and words.  Students can play memory, match words to pictures, or sort the pictures and words by the phonics they are working on.

Digraphs (CH, SH, TH, WH) Word Match

Are you looking for a whole group activity that will help your students learn about Digraphs then this is your activity?

Word Match
-Words that can be cut up into pieces, put in order to create a word, and matched to its picture.
-Some pieces are left blank in order to be filled in with what you want.
-Word match comes in color and black and white
-This activity covers 12 words (4 CH words, 4 SH words, 4 TH words, and 4 WH words) 

Worksheets
This activity comes with 4 worksheets.
Worksheet #1: Pictures are placed around the room, students find the pictures, then sound out the picture, and write it out under CH, SH, TH, or WH.  Then students pick two words from the list and write them into sentences.

Worksheet #2: Students will cut out pictures and glue them under the CH, SH, TH, or WH.

Worksheet #3: Students will put words together, write the digraph, draw a picture, and write the word. 

Worksheet #4: Students will cut out and glue letters in order to make a word that goes along with the picture on the worksheet.

Black and White Word Cards
-I made a card for every Digraph word used in this activity.  You can either send the cards home or create games using the cards.  Some games that you could play in whole group could be mingle or 2 circles.  Mingle is where you give each student a card.  You start the game by saying “mingle”.  Students will walk around the room until you say stop.  When you say stop, students are to find the closest person to them to partner up with.  They read their card to them and then switch cards.  I repeat this game until students lose interest.  The 2 circle game is where I have students get into 2 circles (an inner and outer circle).  When they get into their circle they make sure that they have a partner that faces them.  Students read their card to their partner and switch cards.  Then I have the inner circle move to the right one time.  Continue to do this until students have made a complete circle.

Worksheets
This activity comes with 4 worksheets.

Worksheet #1: place words around the room and students write the words under the correct category.  Then students pick two words from the list and write them into sentences.

Worksheet #2: students will look at the picture and fill in the blank with either ch, sh, th, or wh.  Students will then take those words and write them under the correct category.

Worksheet #3: students cut out words, glue them next to the correct picture, and then write the word next to it.

Worksheet #4: students will read the words and write them under the correct category.  Then students will pick a word and write sentence about it.
